Description

Nos 12 and 12A are a pair of estate cottages built in the early 19th century, with later extensions at the rear. They are constructed from coursed squared and dressed limestone, topped with a stone slate roof and featuring an ashlar stack. The cottages have a rectangular plan and are one and a half storeys high, with a mirror image front. The upper floor is illuminated by two-light stone-mullioned gabled dormers at the eaves. The ground floor has single three-light stone-mullioned casements with stopped hoods, and there are plank doors with stopped hoods at both the far right and far left. A composite diagonal axial stack with moulded capping is also present. The interiors have not been inspected.
