Description
This is a detached barn located approximately 30 meters northeast of Ablington House, dated 1757. It is constructed from random rubble limestone and has a concrete tile roof. The barn features five bays and includes a south porch. There are various additions on the ends and south side that are not of special interest. On the south side, there is a central gabled porch with a timber lintel leading to a 20th-century weatherboarded screen with doors. A slit vent in the gable is connected to a square opening below. Above the main doorway, there is a datestone inscribed 'C C / 1757'. The barn walls have blocked slit vents. On the north side, there are blocked central barn doors with smaller plank doors within the opening, which has a glazed light above. The original timber lintel remains in place. Inside, the barn features a 5-bay collar and tie-beam truss roof.
