Description

BIBURY ABLINGTON SP 1007-1107 10/53 Barn approximately 30m to north- east of Ablington House 23.1.52 (Formerly included with Ablington House) GV II Detached barn. Dated 1757. Random rubble limestone; concrete tile roof. Five-bay barn with south porch. Various end and south side additions are not of special interest. South side: central gabled porch with timber lintel to C20 weatherboarded screen with doors. Slit vent in gable linked to square opening below. Datestone 'C C / 1757' set above main doorway. Blocked slit vents to barn walls. North side: blocked central barn doors. Smaller plank doors within opening having glazed light above. Original timber lintel still in position. Interior: 5-bay collar and tie- beam truss roof.
