Description
This is a barn dating from the late 18th century, with an early 19th-century addition, located approximately 50 meters north-west of Arlington Farmhouse. The barn is constructed from random rubble limestone and features a stone slate roof. It consists of a five-bay structure with a four-bay addition to the north-west. Attached to the south-east end are outbuildings that have been converted into a house but are not of special interest.
On the south-west side, there is a central gabled porch on the earlier part to the right, which has a timber lintel and plank barn doors. To the left, there is an outshut with a lean-to roof and a low plank door with a timber lintel. The barn extension to the left also has a similar porch, with a gabled outbuilding beyond that has a concrete tile roof.
On the north-east side, there is a gabled porch similar to that on the south-west side, along with a doorway featuring a timber lintel and plank door leading to the barn extension on the right, and a loft doorway further to the right. The interiors of the barn have not been inspected but likely feature a collar and tie-beam truss roof.
