Description
Manor Farm Cottages are two houses built in a row, dating from the mid to late 17th century, with extensive restoration carried out in the mid 20th century. They are constructed from random rubble limestone and feature rubble chimneys and a stone slate roof. The cottages are two storeys high and are positioned at right angles to the road.
On the west side, there are three half gables and the windows have been restored with concrete square-mullioned casements, along with some 20th-century casements. There are four chimneys mounted on the ridge, each with plain caps. The south end of the cottages has an original three-light chamfered mullioned casement on the ground floor and a two-light above it. The east side features restored concrete mullioned casements and a projecting gabled wing with a doorway that has a flat porch hood. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to have undergone mostly 20th-century alterations. Despite these changes, the building maintains an important position in the village street.
