Description
A large barn of probable late 18th century origin, located on a former farm site now surrounded by housing. The barn, which was formerly listed alongside Dudley Farmhouse, is constructed of rubble stone with alternating flush quoins, and has a stone slate roof. A stone stack was inserted at the left end. The western side features a large gabled projecting wing that formerly contained a cart entry, now glazed in, with a projecting hipped canopy supported on struts. A former low-level entry on the opposite side also has a canopy. Modern windows are scattered throughout, mainly single-light openings, though original slit vents remain on either side of the gabled wing. A doorway is present on the right-hand return. Despite its conversion to a house, the barn retains its original form, materials, and the scale of its openings.
