Description

This is an early 19th-century chest tomb located about 6.5 meters west of the west end in the churchyard of the Church of St. Mary the Virgin in Kempsford. It is made of limestone and features a moulded plinth and capping on its base. The tomb has fielded end panels and recessed side panels with flanking panelled strips. Its large stepped tent top has curved edges. At the time of the survey in March 1985, the tomb was partially overgrown.
