Description
Hampton Cottage is a former pair of adjoining cottages, originally known as Nos 34 and 35, which have been combined into one large cottage. It dates from the late 17th century and was altered in the late 20th century. The building is constructed from coursed rubble stone and features a stone slate roof with stone end stacks. It is a single range with a rear outshut and stands two storeys high.
The cottage has four windows; two on the left with 2-light metal casements and a concrete lintel, and two on the right with 2-light hollow-moulded stone mullions, a square hoodmould, and metal casements. The ground floor mirrors this arrangement, except for a half-glazed 20th-century door located in the second bay from the left.
