Description
Home Farmhouse is a large farmhouse dating from the mid-18th century. At the time of the survey in September 1985, it was empty. The building is constructed of rubble stone, coursed at the front, with alternating flush quoins and a stone slate roof featuring stone stacks with offsets. It has an 'L'-shaped range that is two storeys tall with an attic.
The facade includes six windows, which are 2-light wood mullion and transom types, with five located on the ground floor. There is a gabled brick porch in the third bay from the left. The roof has three hipped dormers that contain paired casements. The right-hand return along the street features two small hipped dormers through the eaves, and there are some 20th-century windows on the ground floor.
At the rear, there is a slate-roofed lean-to and a canopy that runs along the entire inside angle on the ground floor. This side also has 3-light leaded casements and a timber lintel on the first floor.
