Description
This is a detached cart shed and store located approximately 8 meters east of Chapel Ash House, dating from the 19th century. The building is constructed of coursed squared and dressed limestone, topped with a slate roof that features limestone gable coping. It has timber supports resting on limestone padstones and an L-shaped plan. The gable end includes a round-headed flat-chamfered window, which has a square-sectioned hood and a sill with a curved section below. The gable coping is roll-moulded and is topped with a weather-vane shaped like an air balloon at the apex. Additionally, there are large moulded kneelers present.
