Description

Lane Cottage is a large detached cottage built in the late 17th century or early 18th century. It is constructed from random coursed rubble stone and features alternating flush quoins. The roof is made of stone slate with a central stone ridge stack, while the rear has concrete tiles. The cottage has a single range lobby entry and is one storey with an attic. It has four windows with 2/3/3/2-light stone mullions, along with a central doorway that has a stone lintel, alternating flush quoins, and a plain boarded door. There are four gabled dormers on the eaves, which contain 20th-century paired metal casements.
