Barn Circa 35 Metres East Of Cotswold Park

This barn, located approximately 35 meters east of Cotswold Park, dates from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. It is constructed from random limestone rubble and features a slate roof. The barn has a rectangular plan with a projecting porch on the south side and an extension at the west gable end. There was formerly an open-fronted store at right angles on the south-east side, but a 20th-century building at the north-east corner is not of special interest.

The south elevation includes a projecting gabled porch that is off-centre to the left, with lean-to extensions on either side. The porch has five courses of pigeon holes with landings, and the gable is open at the top. There are stable doors leading to the lean-tos on either side. The former open-fronted store, which has four bays, projects forward to the right. The bays, now blocked with limestone rubble, were originally divided by stone monoliths set on limestone padstones. The north elevation features double plank doors and a square pigeon access with a pyramidal roof and a solid stone apex on the porch ridge.

Inside, the barn has four bays with original collar and tie beam trusses and double purlins.
