Description
This cross shaft and its base, dating from the 14th century, are located approximately 40 meters south of number 59 in North Cerney, Calmsden. The structure is made of limestone and features a pentagonal base that consists of four steps leading up to a pentagonal cross shaft base. Atop this base is a tapering hexagonal cross shaft, which has a cube at its apex. Additionally, a spring flows from a stone spout into two cast iron troughs situated directly below the cross.
