Description

The creamery, located approximately 100 yards northwest of Bowl Farmhouse, was designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens and is dated "M(ark F(enwick) 1917." It features a dovecote style, constructed from coursed rubble with ashlar quoins and dressings. The roof is made of Cotswold stone, cross-gabled with coped verges, corner finials, saddlestones, and a central louvered cupola that is also cross-gabled and topped with a weather-cock. The building has a square plan, reminiscent of 17th-century dovecotes.

The east side has a doorway adorned with scroll brackets and a flat hood, featuring an elliptical arch and a heavy door. The north and south sides are fitted with three-light mullion windows that have drips. The gables contain blind rusticated oeils-de-boeuf. Diagonal stone spouts are located at the corners. Inside, there are marble slabs lining the sides, a Tudor arch fireplace that includes a water tap, and an arched-braced cross-truss roof structure.
