Description

The Piece is a cottage pair, likely dating from around 1700, which was remodelled in the mid-19th century. The building is constructed from rubble with a Cotswold stone roof and features rubble chimneys. The eastern side has two-and-a-half storeys, with two gabled dormers. It has mullioned windows arranged in two ranges. The windows on the left-hand side have three lights and are ovolo moulded, believed to be original. The windows on the right-hand side are chamfered and are likely from the remodelling. There are outer doorways with segmental heads and an outer lean-to. A gabled extension is visible at the rear. The group value context recognizes its contribution to the character of the area.
