Description
Old Vineyards Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely dates back to 1738, built for Thomas Bastin, with remodels in the early 19th century and a rear extension added around 1874. The building is constructed of rubble and features a renewed tile roof with coped verges and end stacks that have moulded capping.
The farmhouse is two storeys high with attics and has three first-floor windows. The central entrance is located within a solid porch topped with a gable; the entrance itself has stone jambs and a chamfered wooden lintel. The outer windows are set under cambered arches, and all windows are casements. There are three dormer windows with casements as well. The end stacks are adorned with cornices.
On the east side, there are three windows arranged one above the other, each with chamfered surrounds, and the ground floor window features a mullion. The west end wall includes a two-light mullion window at the gable and an entrance with a flat timber lintel, along with a further three-light mullion window in the extension. The rear extension is L-shaped in plan and two storeys tall, retaining one two-light mullion window on the first floor. The interior has not been inspected.
