Description

Glenure House is a villa, dating to the 1820s, and subsequently altered. It is now used as flats. The building is constructed of stucco with a hipped slate roof. The two-storey, basement-level villa has a five-window front. A central projecting portico features fluted Ionic columns, a frieze, and a cornice, now glazed. The entrance is a half-glazed door with side-lights and a large transom light. The windows are 1/1 sashes in segmental-arched reveals with sills. A first-floor band ramps down on the side elevation and again at the rear. Wide eaves extend across the building. The right-hand return elevation has blind openings. The 1983 List noted that the interior features a stair hall with a moulded cornice and a plain, late Regency-style staircase. A built-up attic occupies the north end of the building.
