Description
Bafford Farmhouse is a farmhouse that has been converted into two houses. The left section dates from the late 16th century to the early 17th century, with later additions and alterations, including mid-19th century rendering or recasing on the right gabled part. The left part features small square panels of timber-framing with wattle-and-daub and rendered panels, while the right part is constructed of painted brick with painted panels and has a renewed tile roof.
The building is two storeys high, with an attic in the right gabled part and a basement in the left part. There are five first-floor windows in total. The entrance on the left side is off-centre and consists of a plank door within a 20th-century porch, while there is another entrance on the right featuring a glazed door. The windows throughout are 1-, 2-, and 3-light 20th-century metal casement windows. The roof is half-hipped on the left side, and there is a large brick ridge stack located off-centre to the right.
Inside, the left part is reputed to have tie-beams and exposed roof timbers, and there is an inglenook fireplace in the central room.
