Description

Coxhorne is an 18th-century villa with a front facade added around 1815, along with later additions and alterations including a 20th-century conservatory to the right return. The villa is constructed of stucco scored to resemble ashlar, with a stone plinth and a painted brick range at the rear. It has a hipped stone slate roof and end stacks. The building is double pile and features a range to the rear.

The exterior has two storeys and five first-floor windows. It incorporates a plinth, a first-floor band and a parapet with a moulded coping. The windows are 6/6 sash windows, with keystones above, the ground floor windows being taller. A central box-porch has a three-centre-arched head above double, half-glazed doors. The inner door features a fretwork pattern on the lintel and a traceried fanlight, with a similar fanlight on the side door.

The interior features an open-well staircase with turned balusters and a decorated string, reeded cornices and door surrounds. The dining room has a reeded dado.
