Description
Wagers Court is a house located on Balcarras Road in Charlton Kings, dating from the early 16th century. It was partly demolished and rebuilt between 1913 and 1914, leaving only the parlour wing intact. The building has an L-shaped plan, originally a hall house with a through passage and a parlour wing added around 1600. The exterior features two storeys with two first-floor windows and a two-storey wing to the left. The facade includes a projecting full-height asymmetrical gabled porch with a plank door. Both the ground and first floors have two small 20th-century casement windows. The left wing displays small square panels of timber-framing, which continue around the corner, along with small inserted casement windows. Inside, the property is reputed to have exposed timber-framing and an inglenook fireplace.
