Description
Ivy Cottage is a detached house dating from the 17th century. It features square-panelled timber framing with rendered infill, set on a random squared and dressed limestone plinth that steps down towards the right-hand end. The gable ends are painted random coursed squared and dressed limestone. The cottage has a thatched roof with decorative ridge thatching and includes brick stacks, one of which is from the 20th century. The building has a rectangular plan and is 1½ storeys high, with two eyebrow dormers, each containing 2-light casements. The ground floor has single-light and two and three-light casements, all of which are 20th-century with leaded panes. There is a 20th-century plank door at the left gable end, which has a hipped stone slate roof. The gable-end stacks include one at the left gable end that was probably formerly projecting. The interior has not been inspected.
