Description

A terrace of four houses located on Montpellier Spa Road, built around 1823. The buildings are constructed with stucco over brickwork, featuring a concealed roof and brick and stucco chimney stacks. Wrought iron window guards are present.

The buildings are three storeys high, with twelve first-floor windows (three per house). The left side has rusticated detailing on the ground floor, while the remaining facade exhibits horizontal rustication and voussoirs above the windows. The windows of three houses on the right side are set within shallow, elliptical recesses. A cornice is located above the ground floor, a band above the first floor, and a frieze and cornice with a blocking course at the top. The original windows are primarily 6/6 sashes, although two ground-floor windows on the left are round-arched. Several windows retain blind boxes, and the central window on the second floor of each house is blind. Alternate entrances feature steps leading to four-panel doors with overlights.

The interior of the houses has not been inspected. Subsidiary features include window guards with scroll-and-circle motifs.
