Description
Claremont is a villa built around 1820-1830, as indicated on an 1834 map. It is constructed of brick with an ashlar facade and features a hipped slate roof, along with iron porches and window guards. The building has two storeys with three windows on the ground floor and one window on the first floor. The right side of the villa steps back. It has 6/6 sash windows throughout, set in plain reveals with sills. The central entrance consists of a part-glazed, six-panel door topped with a fanlight. The blocking course displays incised panels. Although the interior has not been inspected, the porch features a tent roof and lozenge motifs on the uprights, while the individual balconies are adorned with embellished rods.
