Description
No. 111 on Winchcombe Street is a house built around 1820 to 1850. It features stucco over brick with a concealed roof and iron railings. The building has a double depth plan with a right side hallway, and the wider left bay projects forward.
The exterior consists of three storeys above a basement, with two first-floor windows. Architectural details include ground-floor rustication on the left bay and voussoirs above the windows, tooled architraves on the first-floor windows, a band on the second floor, and a crowning moulded band with a modillion cornice, blocking course, and copings. The first floor has 2/2 horizontal-pane sash windows with moulded sills, the right window is raised on feet; the second floor has 6/6 sash windows; the ground floor has a 1/1 sash window with a tooled sill on feet, all set in plain reveals with sills.
The entrance is located to the right, accessed by a flight of seven roll-edged steps leading to a round-arched opening with a tooled head on imposts, featuring a part-glazed four-panel door with an overlight. The basement includes a 4/8 sash window and glazed double doors. The interior has not been inspected.
