Description
Belmont Lodge is a villa built around 1820-1830, as indicated on an 1834 map, with some later alterations. The building is constructed of stucco over brick, featuring a concealed roof along with iron balconies and a porch. It has two storeys and three first-floor windows, which include 2/2 horizontal-pane sashes. There is a pair of sashes on the ground floor to the left, all set in plain reveals and framed with tooled architrave. The entrance is centrally located and consists of a panelled door. The building has a blocking course with incised panels and copings, and there is a single-storey outshut to the left. The first-floor balconies display a rod-and-circle motif, while the tent-roofed porch is supported by embellished uprights. The interior has not been inspected.
