Villa and attached walls, railings and piers. c1820-50. Piers joined by C20 gates. Ashlar over brick with hipped slate roof and brick end stacks; iron railings, brick boundary walls with ashlar and stucco piers. PLAN: central hallway, double depth. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys, 3 first-floor windows. Central breakforward. 6/6 sashes throughout, all in plain reveals and with sills. Central entrance in projecting distyle Ionic porch with pulvinated frieze and cornice, double part-glazed door and fanlight with radial glazing to head; inner 6-panel doors. Wide eaves. Rear has outer 6/6 sashes and central round-arched staircase window with radial glazing to head. INTERIOR: reputed to retain original joinery including tooled architraves with flowers to corners and 6-fielded-panel doors, otherwise not inspected. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: railings at left to side and front boundary walls, with boundary pier and 2 sets of front gatepiers, at centre and left, square on plan with shaped capping. Area railings to rear have X-motif. Occupies a prominent position.
