Description
105 and 107 Bath Road are two terraced houses, now used as offices, built around 1820 to 1850, with an extension added between 1960 and 1980 on the right and at the rear. The original structure features ashlar stone over brick on the right side, stucco on the left, and a slate roof with iron window guards.
The original range is three storeys high and has nine first-floor windows. The ground and first floors have 6/6 sash windows, with a French window above the porch set in a tooled architrave, frieze, and cornice. The third floor contains 3/3 sash windows, all set in plain reveals with sills. The entrance on the left has replacement glazed double doors with a fanlight featuring decorative glazing, situated in a round-arched recess. An off-centre entrance on the right has a six-panel door with an overlight that also has decorative glazing, enclosed in a solid porch with Tuscan pilasters, a frieze, a cornice, and a blocking course.
The left return showcases a two-storey bow with four 6/6 sashes that are curved. The rear of the building retains many 6/6 sashes, including a round-arched staircase sash, although some are partly covered by the extension. The extension on the right has three first-floor windows and is designed to match the original building.
Inside, the ground floor features embellished cornices, and the staircase on the left has stick balusters and a wreathed handrail. Additionally, the ground-floor window guards display a heart-and-anthemion motif from the Carron Company.
