Description
The gate piers and gates to Number 11 are a pair of gate piers with gates between, dating from around 1820 to 1832. They are made of ashlar and feature octagonal piers with shaped plinths and capping, topped with finials. The double iron gates have three levels of rails and ornate spearhead bars, which ramp up to the ends. Park Place was developed by 1832, and these gate piers are a significant feature of the streetscape, contributing to the setting of Number 11 and forming part of a notable group of piers.
