Description
This is a villa dating from around 1820 to 1832, with later additions and alterations, including a mid-20th century bow window. It is constructed of stucco over brick, with a hipped slate roof and four end and ridge stacks. The villa has two storeys over a basement, featuring five first-floor windows arranged in a 4:1 pattern, with the window on the right set back. A service range is located at the rear. A first-floor band runs horizontally. The first floor has 6/6 sash windows. The ground floor has a bow window extending through the basement and ground floor, a multi-pane casement window, and a mix of 6/6 sash windows. To the right, a tripartite 6/6 window is set between two 2/2 sash windows (some with lugged details), all contained within plain reveals and sills. The basement windows are 8/8 sashes. The front entrance is located below the third window and features a solid porch with two pairs of Doric pilasters and steps leading to a 20th-century three-panel door, accompanied by a frieze and blind overlight. The rear of the building retains 8/8 sash windows. The interior has not been inspected. Park Place was developed by 1832.
