Description

Holloway House is a house, now a shop and flat, dating from approximately the 1820s to the 1850s. It has a 20th-century shop front on the ground floor. The exterior is ashlar facing brick, with a concealed roof and iron balconies. The house is three storeys high with three windows on the first floor. It features a first-floor band and a crowning entablature. The windows are 1/1 sash windows in plain reveals with sills. To the left of the entrance is a glazed door, and to the right a plate-glass window. The interior has not been inspected. Balconies on the first floor are decorated with a scrolled lozenge motif. Holloway House forms the rear of No.2 Albion Street and is part of a group of buildings that have group value as a significant example of Cheltenham’s ornamental ironwork.
