Description
Cross Cottage is a small house that was originally a farmhouse, dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century. It features plastered rubble and cob walls, with a thatched roof that is half hipped at either end. There is a brick stack located at the left-hand end. The layout originally consisted of either a one or two-room plan with a fireplace at the left gable end. An integral outbuilding has separate access at the right-hand end. The exterior is two storeys high and has an asymmetrical front with one window, which is a three-light early 20th-century casement. To the left of the centre, there is a 20th-century gabled porch with a plank door. Double doors lead to the outbuilding at the right-hand end. The interior was inaccessible at the time of the survey.
