Description

Middle Week is a house that was formerly a farmhouse, dating from the 17th century, possibly with earlier origins. It features plastered cob walls and a thatched roof, which is gabled to the left and half hipped at the right end. There are two brick stacks: one at the left gable end and one axial. The layout consists of a three-room and through-passage plan, with the lower end on the right being unheated. The hall stack backs onto the passage, while the inner room is heated by a fireplace located at the gable end. There is a small possible integral shed at the right-hand end and a 20th-century addition at the rear.

The exterior is two storeys high and has an asymmetrical front with three windows, featuring 20th-century two and four-light casements. There are 20th-century glazed doors towards the left-hand end, a 19th-century plank door to the right of centre, and double doors leading to the shed at the right-hand end. Additionally, there is a small one-storey 20th-century addition at the rear.
