Description
This building is a stable and cartshed with a loft above, located about 100 meters northeast of Edgcumbe. It was constructed around the late 19th century and incorporates some 17th century and medieval masonry from Edgcumbe. The structure is made of stone rubble with some granite dressings and features a slate roof that is gabled at both ends.
On the front of the building, there is a stable entrance on the left, which has a moulded segmental granite head that originates from a 17th century doorway. There are two openings on either side of this entrance, each with granite lintels and a medieval corbel head built into the masonry above the lintel. To the right, there is a 20th century cart entrance. Additionally, there are loft doorways on both the left and right sides, each with gabled heads positioned above the eaves.
