Description
Woodlands and No. 8 is a pair of houses that were originally one house, dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. The building features rendered stone walls and a hipped slate roof, with two rendered brick stacks on the left-hand end and one similar stack at the rear. The original layout was a symmetrical two-room double depth plan with a central entrance hall, which has since been subdivided into two houses.
The exterior is three storeys high and has a symmetrical three-window front, primarily featuring 20th-century three-light small-paned casements, with the central light being twice as wide. The first-floor central window is an original hornless 12-pane sash, while to its right is a late 19th-century tripartite sash with a configuration of four, twelve, and four panes. The entrance features a fielded six-panel door with a pentagonal fanlight above, which has radial glazing bars, all set within a wooden pilastered doorcase topped with an entablature. The interior has not been inspected.
