Description
Baptist Chapel, dated 1879, is constructed of stone rubble with rusticated quoins. The building has a gabled slate roof and a brick stack at the rear gable. The plan includes a main hall and a smaller room to the rear, possibly a schoolroom. The chapel is single-storied. The front gable contains three tall roundheaded windows with marginal glazing bars and rusticated stone surrounds. A central roundheaded doorway, also with a rusticated stone surround, has double plank doors. A date plaque bearing '1879' is positioned beneath the gable, flanked by the words 'Baptist Chapel'. Each side wall also has a similar roundheaded window. The interior was inaccessible at the time of survey.
