Description

Nos 2 and 4 High Street are a pair of mid-19th century houses located on the south side of Hatherleigh. They feature plastered stone walls with joint-lining and a hipped slate roof, with brick stacks at either end. The houses are attached and each has a double-depth layout, consisting of one room wide with an entrance passage leading inside. The exterior is two storeys high with a symmetrical four-window front. The first floor has original hornless sash windows with 16:12:12:16 panes, while the ground floor has 16-pane sashes on the left and right. There is a double doorway at the centre, both with panelled reveals and 20th-century part-glazed doors. The interior has not been inspected.
