Description

This building is a linhay located immediately to the east of South Barwick Farmhouse, dating from the 18th century. It features cob side walls and stone rubble piers topped with cob. The roof is hipped and made of corrugated iron. The structure has a rectangular plan with four bays and is currently one storey, although it likely had a loft originally. The open front is regularly divided by circular piers. Inside, there are probably original roof trusses that consist of straight principals with pegged collars, some of which are curved.
