Description

This is a small house, incorporating a post office, dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of rendered cob walls with a thatched roof, gabled at the left end and hipped to the right. There are two brick stacks: one at the left gable end and another on the rear lateral side. The original plan comprised two heated rooms, with a later outshut added to the rear in the 19th or 20th century. The front elevation is asymmetrical, featuring a two-window arrangement with 20th-century two- and three-light casement windows. A 20th-century stone and thatch porch is centrally located, sheltering a plank door. A 20th-century lean-to extends from the right-hand end, and an outshut is present at the rear. The interior has not been inspected.
