Description

The New Cemetery Chapel, built around 1880 as a gift from the Duke of Bedford, is a striking example of French Gothic architecture. This single-storey structure is constructed of stone and features a roof covered with lead sheeting. Notable architectural elements include buttresses, an octagonal angle turret, pseudo-machicolations, and a massive porch, making it an elaborate design for a cemetery chapel.
