Description

The County Primary School Annexe is a mid-19th century building that was formerly the Grammar School. It is a single-storey structure made of coursed rubble with granite dressings and features a slate roof topped with a central bell turret that has a weather vane. The building has a crenellated parapet adorned with a shield, and it includes four three-light mullioned and transomed windows, each with hood mouldings. There is a central shield and gargoyles present as well. The building has one-storey wings at the front, which have half-hipped roofs and project to the rear, creating a covered cloister on three sides. The cloisters are designed with three-centred arches.
