Description
Bollard Cottage is a small house dating from the late 17th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. It has plastered cob walls and a gable-ended thatch roof, supported by two brick end stacks. The original layout was likely a two or three-room plan, but this has been obscured by the 20th-century internal changes. The exterior is two storeys high, featuring an asymmetrical front with four windows. On the first floor, there are two-light casements from the 19th century, while the ground floor has two contemporary three-light windows to the left and two 20th-century two-light casements to the right. There is a 19th-century stone and slate lean-to porch towards the right end, which has a plank door. The interior does not show any original features, likely hidden by the 20th-century alterations, but some may still be preserved.
