Description

The Garden House, located approximately 30 metres north-east of North Wyke, is a former malthouse dating from the 18th century. It is constructed of Flemish bond brick and has a slate roof. The building has a small two-storey, one-room plan with a gable-ended design. The south-facing front features a tall ground floor doorway that contains a 20th-century plank door and a 20th-century casement window with glazing bars. The interior has not been inspected. This former malthouse is part of the 1904 scheme of terraced gardens associated with the renovation of North Wyke.
