Description

Taw Green Bridge is a bridge over the River Taw, built in the early to mid 19th century. It is constructed from local stone rubble, featuring larger dressed blocks for the abutments and voussoirs, along with granite coping stones. The bridge has a single span with a segmental, almost round-headed arch that springs from vertical abutments. The walls rise to the parapet without interruption, following the road and slightly ramping towards the center. The walls are topped with plain granite coping stones and curve out at both ends without any terminal piers.
