Description

Taw Green Mill Bridge and Weir is a road bridge dating from the early to mid 19th century, located over a small stream and mill leat, which is a tributary of the River Taw. It is constructed from local stone rubble, featuring dressed blocks for the abutments and voussoirs, with granite coping stones. The bridge is a small single-span structure with a plain segmental arch that springs from vertical abutments. It has a plain parapet topped with roughly-dressed granite coping. At this location, the mill leat meets the stream, and there is a small weir on the west side, built from large slabs of granite, which includes a narrow central sluice.
