Description
Pecketsford Bridge is a road bridge that spans the River Taw, built in the late 18th to early 19th century. It is constructed from local slate rubble and features dressed voussoirs and granite coping stones. The bridge has a single span with a large segmental, almost round-headed arch. The walls rise smoothly to the parapet, which follows the humpback of the road and rises towards the center. The parapet walls curve outward at each end and do not have terminal piers. Most of the coping blocks are plain, but there are a few moulded pieces that have been reused from a domestic building.
