Description
There are four pairs of gate-piers located about 8 meters and 15 meters southwest of Higher Chaddlehanger, dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. These gate-piers are made of granite. The first pair is approximately 1.5 meters high, has a square plan, and features shaped necks with ball finials, although one finial is missing on the left. The second pair, situated about 15 meters southwest, is similar but also has one ball finial missing. Adjacent to the east are lower piers with rounded tops, which also have one ball finial missing. The fourth pair, located about 45 meters to the east, stands around 1.5 meters high, has a square plan in rough-cut granite, and includes ball finials.
