Description
This is a shippon located approximately 20 metres south-south-east of Wrixhill Farmhouse, dating from the late 18th century. The building features cob walls that incorporate some stone rubble. The roof is a combination of slate and corrugated iron, gabled at the left end and hipped at the right. It has a rectangular plan consisting of a row of two shippons, each with separate access. The structure is single storey and has an asymmetrical front with doorways positioned to the left and right of the centre, along with one window opening on either side of the right-hand door. This shippon is part of a very traditional farm complex.
