Description

The gateway located about 7 meters east of Langstone Manor is a structure that may date back to the early 17th century but was likely reconstructed in 1907, coinciding with the rebuilding of Langstone Manor. It is made of dressed stone and granite, featuring granite piers that are rectangular in shape and have capitals that support a moulded basket arch with a projecting keystone. Above the arch, there is a moulded string course and an embattled parapet. The monograms carved in the spandrel of the arch may have been added later.
