Description
Greystones is a pair of houses built in 1886, as indicated by the datestone. The houses are constructed from granite random rubble with granite dressings and feature a slate roof that is gabled at both ends, displaying an asymmetrical profile. A stone stack with a rendered chimney is located on the ridge.
These are identical small houses, each two storeys high with an attic. The front is symmetrical with four windows, and there are gable end entrances accessed through 20th-century porches. The deep timber eaves add to the architectural detail. The ground floor has four deeply recessed windows, each under segmental arches. Each window is a two-light transomed casement with glazing bars, with the windows in the right-hand house possibly being original. On the first floor, there are two timber oriel windows supported by moulded brackets, each also a two-light transomed casement with glazing bars extending to the returns. The interior has not been inspected.
