Description

This is an outbuilding, formerly a stable with a first-floor granary, located approximately 10 meters northwest of Rollstone Farmhouse. It dates from the 18th century and features a render over cob and stone, with late 19th-century brick repairs on the left side and a gabled corrugated iron roof. The building is one storey with a loft and has a two-window range. There are timber lintels above two 20th-century doors and two 20th-century windows, with stone steps leading to a central first-floor plank door. Inside, the ground-floor beams are roughly chamfered, and the roof is a 6-bay A-frame, with each truss featuring a pegged collar and ridge purlin set in a crossed apex. This outbuilding is included for its group value.
