Description
South Yeo is a house located in Parkham Yeo Vale, dating from the early 19th century, around 1830. It features a refronting and remodelling of an earlier house. The exterior is finished with colourwashed render over cob and stone, and it has gabled slate roofs that are hipped at the front, with rendered brick end stacks. The building has a double-depth plan, with additional wings on two sides of the yard at the rear. It is two storeys high and has a five-window range.
On the left side, there is a six-panelled door set within panelled reveals and a pedimented architrave with fluted pilasters. To the right, there is a 20th-century glazed door set in a raised stone architrave. The windows feature flat rendered architraves over early 19th-century sixteen-pane sashes, including a blind window to the left. The eaves are bracketed. The left side wall has a round-arched stair light, and there are two horizontal sliding sashes on the rear left side.
Inside, the house has panelled doors set in moulded wood architraves, and there is a stone winder staircase leading to the cellar.
